
Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, will preside on Monday over the opening of the 13th edition of the Africa & Mediterranean Energy & Hydrogen Exhibition and Conference (NAPEC 2025), at the Mohamed Ben Ahmed Conference Center in Oran, in western Algeria.
The opening of this edition, held under the theme: “Accelerating Tomorrow’s Energy and Achieving an Efficient Energy Mix through Partnerships, Investment, Innovation, and Technology”, will take place in the presence of the Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Mourad Adjal; the CEO of Sonatrach, Rachid Hachichi; the President of the National Agency for the Valorization of Hydrocarbon Resources (ALNAFT), Samir Bakhti; and the President of the Hydrocarbons Regulatory Authority, Amine Remini, along with senior officials from the sector, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines.
On the sidelines of the event, Mohamed Arkab will hold a series of meetings with executives and representatives of major companies operating in the oil and gas industry, as well as with stakeholders from related sectors of mutual interest, aiming is to strengthen cooperation opportunities, exchange expertise, and explore new prospects for partnerships and investments.
The event will also highlight Algeria’s geological potential in the hydrocarbons sector. Moreover, in-depth discussions will be held on the technical and geomechanical challenges related to the development of oil and gas reservoirs, alongside high-level sessions focusing on the hydrogen value chain — from production and transportation to industrial applications and clean energy.
The “NAPEC” Exhibition and Conference is one of the leading energy events in Africa and the Mediterranean Basin.
