Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, welcomed Vladislav Davankov, Vice President of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, who is on an official visit to Algeria, according to a communiqué from the ministry.
The meeting, which took place at the ministry’s headquarters, served as an opportunity to “review the friendship and privileged cooperation between Algeria and Russia” and to “discuss strategies for involving legislative institutions in efforts to elevate the bilateral partnership to new heights, particularly through the activation of various mechanisms provided by parliamentary diplomacy,” the source noted.
The two parties also exchanged views on several issues of mutual interest at both regional and international levels, the communiqué concluded.
