Algerian Council of the Nation’s Elections: Tebboune Calls the Electoral Body to Convene on March 9

Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has signed a presidential decree summoning the electoral body to convene on March 9, 2025, for the renewal of half of the elected members of the Council of the Nation, according to a statement from the Presidency.

“In accordance with Articles 91, paragraph 7, and 121 and 122, paragraph 3, of the Constitution, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has issued a presidential decree calling for the electoral body to meet on March 9, 2025, to renew half of the elected members of the Council of the Nation,” the statement indicates.
