Algeria: President Tebboune receives well wishes from world leaders

ALGIERS — The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received messages of well wishes from several kings and presidents around the world on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the glorious Liberation Revolution.

The messages highlighted the robust bilateral relations and strategic partnerships between Algeria and the respective countries, with leaders expressing their hope to bolster these ties and promote mutual interests, as well as global security and stability.

In this regard, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a message of well wishes to the President of Algeria, highlighting the deep strategic partnership between the two countries and expressing “confidence in its future development to serve the fundamental interests of both peoples and promote security and stability in Africa and the Middle East.”

Italian President Sergio Mattarella extended his warm wishes to President Tebboune on this occasion, affirming that “the friendship between Algiers and Rome continues to drive productive dialogue and fruitful cooperation in many areas of common interest.”

“I am also delighted by the remarkable strength of our bond, and we look forward to further developing it together,” the Italian President said.

He added, “Italy and Algeria will continue to advance peace, stability, and prosperity in the best interests of the entire Mediterranean region—a region of vital importance, especially in these challenging times of violent conflicts and rising tensions.”

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, along with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, extended their wishes to President Tebboune on this occasion, wishing him and the Algerian people “further progress and prosperity.”

In his message, Chinese President Xi Jinping underscored “the deep-rooted friendship between the two countries from a strategic long-term perspective.”

He also expressed his “willingness to collaborate with President Tebboune to strengthen mutual friendship and trust, as well as to deepen cooperation across all sectors.”

For his part, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi conveyed to the President of Algeria “his wishes for good health and success,” expressing hopes for further progress and prosperity for the Algerian people.

“I would like to take this opportunity to welcome the strong, long-standing ties and bonds of fraternity between Egypt and Algeria. I reaffirm my commitment to enhancing our special bilateral relations and developing them across all areas, while ensuring continued coordination and consultation in the best interests of our both countries and their peoples,” the Egyptian President stated.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian extended his good wishes on the occasion of the Revolution’s 70th anniversary, expressing “his country’s commitment to bolstering bilateral relations and cooperation at all levels.”

Similarly, Cuba’s President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez offered his friendly wishes while stressing “his country’s willingness to further boost the historical relations of bilateral friendship, cooperation, and solidarity.”

In his message to President Tebboune, the Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, conveyed his best wishes for “success and prosperity” to the Algerian people, affirming “Sudan’s commitment to continuing cooperation to elevate bilateral relations in the best interests of the two brotherly peoples.”

For his part, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, underscored in his message of good wishes “Algeria’s leading role in maintaining peace and stability, through its seat on the United Nations Security Council,” applauding Algeria and Germany’s commitment to “closely exchange on this matter,” as well as their willingness to “strengthen and deepen their cooperation in key areas.”
