ALGIERS – The Algerian High Commissioner of Digitization, Meriem Benmouloud, revealed that more than 500 projects will be achieved in 2025-2026 as part of the national plan for the implementation of the national digital transformation strategy, aiming at the promotion of the public service.
In a speech she delivered on Tuesday, during the works of the first Government-Governors meeting held at the Palace of Nations, Benmouloud affirmed that the High Commission of Digitization “carried out, in collaboration with all the ministerial sectors and public bodies, as a first step, the national plan for the implementation of the national digital transformation strategy in short term (2025-2026).”
In this regard, she mentioned that “more than 500 projects will be achieved during that period,” noting that 75% of these projects were linked to the promotion of the public service. She further recalled that, since its creation, the High Commission has been working to establish the foundations of digital transformation, starting with the development of the national digital transformation strategy: “Digital Algeria 2030,” adopted as the first national reference governing and framing the digital transformation process.
This strategy is based “on five strategic axes namely basic infrastructure, human resources, training, research and development, digital governance, digital economy and digital society, from which 25 strategic objectives derive,” she said.
