The Algerian Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and National Planning, Brahim Merad, received Alberto Cutillo, the Ambassador of the Italian Republic to Algeria, on Tuesday in Algiers, as stated by the ministry.
The purpose of this meeting was to enhance “the cooperative relations between Algeria and Italy.” It also provided an opportunity to acknowledge the impressive collaboration between the two friendly nations across various sectors, according to the same source.
Both parties discussed “strategies to strengthen bilateral cooperation through the exchange of expertise in areas relevant to the internal sectors of both countries. This includes police cooperation, civil protection, and the fight against transnational crimes such as illegal immigration, along with potential collaboration on local development initiatives,” the source added.
