Algeria Hosts 7th Africa-Europe Judicial Officers Meeting

Algeria will host the 7th Africa-Europe Judicial Officers meeting on Wednesday and Thursday, organized by the National Chamber of Judicial Officers (CNHJ) in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and in collaboration with the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ), the Chamber announced Tuesday in a press release.

The event, held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, represents “a strategic milestone in strengthening international legal cooperation,” particularly as it will bring together “over 180 foreign participants from 33 countries across different continents, along with more than 700 Algerian participants,” according to the press release.

These meetings will also feature the participation of the president of the UIHJ, Marc Schmitz, the president of the African Union of bailiffs and judicial officers (UAHJ), Rosine Zongo, and the Secretary General of the Hague Conference on private international law (HCCH), Christophe Bernasconi.

“By hosting this important event, Algeria confirms its presence on the international fora, particularly as the country was selected to organize this meeting over competing bids from other nations, representing international recognition of Algeria’s professional institutions and commitment to international standards,” emphasized the press release.
