Algeria, EU Pledge to Boost Ties Through Balanced Partnership

ALGIERS — The Secretary General of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Lounès Magramane, received on Wednesday, at the ministry headquarters, the Director General for the Middle East, North Africa and Gulf region within the European Commission, Stefano Sannino, according to a ministry statement.

“The meeting allowed to review Algeria-EU relations and ways to strengthen them further,” the same source said.

On this occasion, the two parties affirmed “the commitment to revitalize these relations across political, economic and human dimensions, with a view to developing a balanced partnership based on a +win-win+ approach that would enable both parties to tackle challenges facing the Mediterranean region,” added the statement.

They further “exchanged views and positions on regional and international issues of common interest,” according to the same source.
