No Third Party Can Change the Nature of Russian-Iranian Relations, Lavrov Says

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized the United States on Thursday for announcing a 25% tariff on any business dealings with Iran, describing Washington as “unreliable” in its approach to international economic relations. He argued that such measures undermine trust and stability in global markets.
Lavrov emphasized that no third party can alter the fundamental nature of Russian-Iranian relations, underscoring Moscow’s commitment to its strategic partnership with Tehran despite external pressures.
He also warned that US sanctions cannot last indefinitely and are likely to trigger a broader crisis in international relations, further destabilizing global economic and diplomatic frameworks.
