UN: Around 16,000 Patients Are Waiting to Be Evacuated from Gaza Strip

Approximately 16,000 patients are currently waiting to be evacuated from the Gaza Strip, the United Nations reported on Tuesday, highlighting the continued restrictions by the Zionist Entity on the delivery of humanitarian aid, according to a UN report.
The organization reiterated its concern over the collapse of the health system in Gaza and called for respect for the work of its teams on the ground.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “more than 10,600 seriously ill patients have been evacuated to date, including 5,600 children, but many need to be transferred to places where they can receive appropriate care.”
The Gaza Ministry of Health said that at least 1,092 patients had died while awaiting evacuation between July 2024 and 28 November 2025, a number that could be lower than reality.
Recently, UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric warned that despite the ceasefire, reports of airstrikes, shelling and gunfire continue to arrive, resulting in “more casualties and further disruptions to humanitarian operations.”
He also noted that, given the extreme shortage of shelter, many families are seeking refuge in buildings that are partially or severely damaged, some of which have collapsed due to the conditions.
The UN repeated its call for Zionist Entity to lift all restrictions on the entry of aid, including shelter supplies.
