Iran Summons Ukrainian Diplomat Over Supportive Remarks on Zionist and US Attacks

Tehran summoned Ukraine’s charge d’affaires on Monday to protest statements by Ukrainian officials seen as supportive of Zionist and American military strikes against Iran.
During the meeting, Shahram Farsaei, head of the Foreign Ministry’s First Eurasian Department, condemned the comments as unjustified and a violation of Ukraine’s obligations under international law, including the UN Charter and the Geneva Conventions.
Farsaei warned that Kyiv’s repeated “hostile and provocative” positions carry legal consequences and amount to approval of crimes committed by what he called the “Israeli apartheid regime.” The Ukrainian diplomat pledged to convey Iran’s concerns to his government.
