Iran: Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Appoints New Intelligence Chief

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced on Thursday that Majid Khademi has been appointed as the head of its intelligence service, according to the Fars news agency.
This appointment was made by the IRGC’s commander-in-chief, Mohammad Pakpour, just days after the assassination of former head of the organization, Mohammad Kazemi, and his deputy, Hassan Mohaghegh, who were killed during airstrikes conducted by Zionist forces on the Iranian capital on Sunday.
Before assuming this new role, Khademi served as the leader of the IRGC’s Intelligence Protection Organization.
Last Friday, the Zionist entity launched a series of attacks against Iran, resulting in casualties and injuries.
In response, Iran retaliated with missile and drone strikes targeting several sites associated with Zionist interests.
