German Activist Aboard Gaza-Bound Ship Denounces Western Complicity in Zionist Blockade

GAZA – Yasemin Acar, a German activist aboard the Gaza-bound aid vessel Madleen, condemned her government and other Western states late Sunday for supporting the Zionist entity’s genocidal actions against Palestinians in Gaza. “Bombing hospitals, bombing children—these war crimes have gone on for 20 months. We are here because our governments continue to uphold this genocide and the illegal blockade,” she said in a video posted on Instagram.
The Madleen, carrying 12 people including 11 activists and one journalist, was surrounded by four Zionist naval vessels as it neared Gaza. Acar said two Zionist boats came within 200 meters and appeared to stop and observe the aid ship. “We believe this is psychological warfare. They have planned this,” she added, noting the increased tension and intimidation.
Acar emphasized that the mission was not about saving Palestinians but showing solidarity. “Palestinians will free themselves. We’re here to tell them they’re not alone, that we’ll use our bodies and voices to break the blockade and stop the starvation.” Among the activists onboard are Greta Thunberg, MEP Rima Hassan, and others from France, Brazil, Turkey, Spain, and the Netherlands. The mission, organized by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, left Sicily on June 1 with medical supplies, food, and children’s necessities for Gaza.
