ALGIERS – Four terrorists surrendered to military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar (6th Military Region), in their possession of Kalashnikov machine guns and a quantity of ammunition, announced the Algerian Ministry of National Defence in a statement on Monday.
“As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts deployed by detachments of the People’s National Army, four terrorists surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar (6th Military Region),” said the source.
These terrorists are Idabir Ighless, also known as +Abou Meriem+, who was in possession of one Kalashnikov assault rifle and a quantity of ammunition; Barbouchi Sidi, alias +Tarek+, who was in possession of one Kalashnikov assault rifle and a quantity of ammunition; Mokhtari Aboubakrin, also known as +El Moutana+, who was in possession of one Kalashnikov assault rifle and a quantity of ammunition; and El-Omrani Abdellah, also known as +Abou Moussa+, who was in possession of one Kalashnikov assault rifle and a quantity of ammunition,” the same source added.
“This high-quality operation once again reflects the effectiveness of the approach adopted by the High Command of the People’s National Army to eliminate the scourge of terrorism and establish security and peace throughout the country,” the source concluded.
