
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa visited the Martyrs’ Memorial in Algiers on Friday, where he laid a wreath at the monument dedicated to the fallen heroes of the Algerian War of Liberation. The ceremony included a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs’ souls.
Following the tribute, President Ramaphosa visited the National Museum of the Mujahid, where he received detailed explanations about the various historical periods of Algeria’s struggle for independence.
President Ramaphosa arrived in Algeria on Thursday evening for a state visit at the invitation of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
