Memorial gatherings were held both in Algeria and internationally on Thursday to mark the 63rd anniversary of the October 17, 1961, massacres carried out by French colonizers against members of the Algerian community abroad.
These events were organized in accordance with a decision made by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in 2021, which called for a minute of silence across the country in remembrance of this significant event, coinciding with National Migration Day.
