
ALGIERS – A humanitarian aid has been dispatched Wednesday from the air base of Boufarirk (Blida), aboard two military aircrafts coming under the Algerian Air Forces, to the Sahrawi people in the refugee camps in Tindouf Province, following the floods that hit this country, the Algerian Ministry of the National Defense said in a statement.
“In line with the principles of cooperation and humanitarian solidarity with brotherly and friendly countries, and following the devastations caused recently by floods in Western Sahara, 70 tons of humanitarian aid has been dispatched Wednesday 25 September 2024, aboard two military aircrafts of our Air Forces,” said the source.
“This aid, provided by the Algerian Red Crescent, comprising foodstuffs, medicines and medical equipment, as well as tents and mattresses, has been dispatched from the air base of Boufarik, in the first Military Region, to the refugee camps in Tindouf Province,” said the source.
“This humanitarian operation reaffirms, once again, the commitment of the People’s National Army to supporting all the humanitarian initiatives and its constant devotion to perform such noble missions,” added the source.
