Venezuela: Vice President Rodríguez Appointed Minister of Oil

Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez has been appointed as the new Minister of Oil, a decision announced by President Nicolás Maduro on Tuesday during a cabinet reshuffle. Rodríguez will relinquish her position as Minister of Finance to assume this role, succeeding Pedro Tellechea, who also served as CEO of the state-owned oil giant Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) and has now been appointed as Minister of Industry. Venezuela possesses the largest oil reserves in the world.
