Zionist Occupation Strikes Gaza Despite Trump’s Call to End Bombardment

The Zionist occupation struck Gaza on Saturday, after U.S. President Donald Trump had called for a halt to the bombing and said Hamas is ready for peace, agreeing to release captives and accepting some other terms in a U.S. plan to end the war.
The occupation forces killed six people across the Gaza Strip, local authorities said. One strike killed four people in a house in Gaza City while another killed two others in Khan Younis in the south, medical workers and local authorities said.
Trump said on Friday he believed Hamas had shown it was “ready for a lasting PEACE”, adding, “We are already in discussions on details to be worked out.
Key mediators Egypt and Qatar welcomed the latest developments, and Majed Al Ansari, a spokesman for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, said they would “continue discussions on the plan.”
A spokesman for U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres said he “urges all parties to seize the opportunity to bring the tragic conflict in Gaza to an end.”
Meanwhile in the devastated enclave, the Zionist occupation’s genocidal war has killed at least 66,288 Palestinians and wounded 169,165 others since October 2023. Thousands more are believed to be buried under the rubble.
