Zelensky Seeks to Secure Funding for Tomahawk Missiles Ahead of Meeting with Trump

On the eve of his meeting with US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is working to secure funding to cover the cost of the Tomahawk cruise missiles he has requested from Washington, Welt reported.
The outlet noted that the United States is demanding payment upfront if the missiles are delivered, while European allies remain divided over who should bear the cost, and the White House’s intentions are still unclear.
Russia, meanwhile, has emphasized that Tomahawk missiles will not change the situation on the frontline and that operating such complex weapons would require US specialists, potentially escalating the conflict.
