World School Games: Judo Team Captures Four Bronze Medals for Algeria

The Algerian school judo team has claimed four bronze medals in their competitions at the ongoing World School Games in Bahrain, as reported on Wednesday by the Algerian Federation of School Sports.

The bronze medals were awarded to: Aïdoun Racha Riham (-44 kg), Brahimi Hanan (-63 kg), Miloudi Rym Asmaa (+70 kg), and Boukri Abderrahmane (-81 kg).

This achievement has positioned the national team in 13th place among 22 participating countries in the judo events, according to the same source.

In addition, a certificate of excellence was presented to the national judo team’s coach, Abdelakder Khantache, by the International School Sport Federation, as reported.

To date, the Algerian representatives at this global school event have amassed a total of 14 gold medals, 12 silver medals, and 23 bronze medals across various disciplines, including karate, taekwondo, para-athletics, athletics, and wrestling.

The World School Games, which commenced on October 22 with athletes from 74 countries, are scheduled to conclude on Thursday.
