West Bank: 280 Stores Destroyed in Tulkarem Refugee Camp

RAMALLAH, February 19, 2025 – The Zionist forces has completely destroyed 280 stores in the Tulkarem refugee camp, located in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, as part of its ongoing military assault in the region, according to a Palestinian official.
Faisal Salama, the deputy governor of Tulkarem, stated in media reports that the Zionist forces are “attempting to reshape the characteristics and geography of the Tulkarem camp through extensive demolitions of Palestinian properties.”
Salama noted that the occupation forces have so far demolished “50 houses and 280 stores in the Tulkarem refugee camp.” He emphasized that the situation in Tulkarem represents “a systematic plan of occupation, whereby new roads are being constructed over the ruins of destroyed buildings.”
He further described the Zionist actions in Tulkarem as “a massacre and an illegal scheme occurring amid international silence.”
“We are living under tragic conditions and facing a true catastrophe that targets women, children, the elderly, and everyone else,” he said, adding that “only 50 families remain in the camp due to a lack of water and electricity.”
