Washington to Resume Arms Shipments to Kiev if Rare-Earths Deal Is Signed, Medvedev

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev stated that the United States will resume arms supplies to Ukraine once the rare-earths deal is signed.

Writing on his Vkontakte page, Medvedev said, “Speaking to the US Congress, [US President Donald] Trump expressed satisfaction at having received a letter of repentance from the ‘punished’ head of the Kiev regime regarding his readiness for peace talks under US leadership and the signing of a binding rare-earths deal. This means that as soon as it is signed, US arms supplies are likely to resume (and by the way, Europe has already increased its shipments).”

Earlier, a Pentagon spokesperson confirmed to TASS that the US Armed Forces had suspended military aid deliveries to Ukraine. According to Bloomberg, the suspension affects all US military equipment not currently in Ukraine, including weapons that were transported by air and sea and are awaiting further shipment in Poland’s transit zones.

Previously, Trump told Congress that he had received a letter from Volodymyr Zelensky stating that the head of the Kiev regime was ready for peace settlement talks regarding the Ukrainian conflict. Zelensky also emphasized his willingness to sign a deal with the US on Ukrainian rare-earths, which had been previously suspended due to a dispute between Trump and Zelensky at the White House.
