UNRWA Warns of Aid Spoilage as the Zionist Entity Keeps Gaza Crossings Closed

NEW YORK – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) has warned that vital humanitarian aid is now at risk of spoiling due to the Zionist entity’s continued closure of Gaza crossings, blocking entry since March 2. The agency stressed that the blockade is prolonging a 19-month genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

In a statement published on its official Facebook page, UNRWA revealed that essential supplies—food, hygiene items, medicines, and shelter materials—are being held in warehouses just outside Gaza. “Food that people cannot eat, medicines that they cannot use,” the agency wrote, underlining the urgency of the situation. It described the aid as “life-saving” and said that the continued obstruction risks rendering it useless.

Despite the blockade, UNRWA affirmed that its teams and trucks are fully prepared to deliver the aid as soon as access is granted. The agency reiterated its call for the immediate opening of crossings to allow relief into Gaza, where civilians are in desperate need of assistance amid an escalating humanitarian catastrophe.
