UNRWA: Gaza Palestinians Remain in Dire Humanitarian Crisis

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said that Palestinians in the Gaza Strip continue to live in dire conditions, amid the destruction left by the Zionist occupation army in the enclave and its continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.

In a post on its social media accounts on Sunday, the UN agency explained that “the residents of Gaza continue to live in miserable conditions, as their homes have collapsed and their tents have been torn apart, exposing them to the harsh winter cold and rainwater.” The UNRWA stressed “the urgent need for more food, medicine and shelter supplies,” while calling for the immediate removal of restrictions imposed by the Zionist occupation authorities on the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip.

For over two years, the Zionist occupation has committed genocide in Gaza, involving killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, while ignoring international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) had announced in October 2025 that an agreement had been reached to end the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, ensuring the withdrawal of Zionist occupation forces, allow the entry of aid, and carry out a prisoner exchange. Nevertheless, the occupation continues its violations, leaving since the agreement entered into force on 10 October 2025, a total of 420 martyrs and 1,184 wounded.
