UNICEF Launches Distress Call to Save Gaza’s Children

GAZA – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has issued a new appeal to save the children of the Gaza Strip and to end the ongoing Zionist genocidal aggression in the Palestinian enclave since October 2023.

James Elder, UNICEF spokesperson, made a distress call on Saturday evening via video from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza, calling for “an end to the war and the suffering of Gaza’s children.”

In a video posted on social media, Elder spoke about the tragedy of Palestinian child Jana, 11 years old, who was injured in an airstrike by the Zionist army targeting her neighborhood two days ago, instantly paralyzing her from the waist down.

“Jana still does not really understand what happened to her. She is desperate and just wants to get out of here, but she cannot receive medical evacuation,” lamented the UNICEF spokesperson.

“Many who watch these videos are already deeply concerned about this war and want it to end. But this message is not for them; it is for those who have the influence and power to end this brutal war against children.”

“50,000 children have been killed or injured since the start of the Zionist genocidal aggression against Gaza on October 7, 2023,” according to UNICEF’s latest statistics.
