UN Sounds Alarm on Famine in Gaza as Zionist Siege Starves Millions, Destroys Farmland

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has called for an immediate end to Zionist entity’s food blockade on the Gaza Strip, warning that the lives of 2.1 million people are now in critical danger as humanitarian aid remains cut off for the ninth consecutive week. OCHA confirmed that its relief stocks are nearly exhausted due to the continued Zionist siege, which has entered its third month.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) echoed these warnings, stressing that the complete blockade has halted all humanitarian, medical, and commercial aid from entering Gaza.

The agency warned that the longer the siege persists, the more irreversible the damage will be to civilian lives. Thousands of aid trucks remain ready to deliver supplies, and UNRWA teams in Gaza are prepared to escalate operations as soon as access is granted.

Meanwhile, a UN satellite analysis revealed that 81% of Gaza’s arable land has suffered a dramatic decline in productivity, citing widespread destruction from Israeli bombardments and bulldozing since October 7, 2023. The blockade, in effect since March 2, has entirely severed Gaza’s access to life-sustaining resources, pushing the population to the brink of starvation.
