UN Expresses Concern Over Civilian Casualties in the Zionist Strikes on Sanaa

The UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, said he is following with great concern the recent developments in the country, stressing that Yemen cannot afford to become a battleground for a wider geopolitical conflict. He called for an immediate halt to the attacks and urged all sides to use available diplomatic channels to de-escalate tensions.

Grundberg expressed deep concern over the civilian deaths and injuries caused by recent Zionist attacks. He also referred to reports from Sanaa indicating that several senior officials and political figures had been killed or injured in the latest wave of violence.

The Special Envoy underscored the urgent need for all parties to ensure the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure in accordance with their obligations under international law, warning that continued escalation would only deepen the suffering of the Yemeni people.
