UN Experts Urge States to Enforce ICC Warrants Against Zionist Entity Officials

United Nations experts have called on countries to fully comply with the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who face charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The experts stressed the need for implementing these warrants without double standards.

In a statement issued from Geneva on Tuesday, more than 40 UN experts and special rapporteurs, including Francesca Albanese (Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories) and Michael Fakhri (Special Rapporteur on the right to food), outlined the severe violations committed by the Zionist entity’s forces against Palestinians since its attacks on Gaza and other Palestinian territories on October 7, 2023.

They emphasized that the persistent lack of accountability has led to the intensification of violence, significantly impacting the future of the Palestinian people. The experts reminded states of their obligations to enforce international law and prosecute war criminals, stressing that the responsibility for executing arrest warrants lies with national governments.

The statement called on national courts to contribute to the ICC’s efforts, ensuring accountability for violations and advancing peace and justice in the region.
