Ukraine’s Overnight Strikes on Russia Undermine Peace Efforts – Kremlin

Ukraine’s latest overnight attacks on Russian facilities contradict ongoing efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, Peskov emphasized that while Russian President Vladimir Putin has given direct orders to halt strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, Ukraine has continued its attacks on Russian territory. “This contradicts the peace initiatives currently being pursued by both Moscow and Washington,” he said.
According to the Kremlin, the Russian government is closely monitoring whether Kyiv will respond positively to diplomatic overtures aimed at ending hostilities. Peskov underscored that Russia remains committed to dialogue but warned that Ukraine’s continued military actions could jeopardize the fragile momentum toward peace.
