Kiev expects that US and Ukrainian delegations will meet for further discussions on Ukraine in Saudi Arabia within the next three days, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated.
“We are preparing for a meeting in Saudi Arabia. A technical working group will be sent there. The meeting will take place on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, depending on the delegations’ availability,” Zelensky said during an online briefing, as published on his office’s YouTube channel.
Following a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump on March 19, Zelensky affirmed that both countries were prepared for discussions in Saudi Arabia, though no specific dates were confirmed. Meanwhile, US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff indicated on March 18 that new US-Russia talks were scheduled for Sunday in Jeddah.
