UK Slams Zionist Plan to Expand Gaza War, Calls for Immediate Ceasefire

Britain voiced strong concern on Tuesday over the Zionist entity’s plan to expand its war in Gaza, firmly opposing any further military escalation and warning against attempts to annex Palestinian land. “We strongly oppose the expansion of Israel’s operations. Any attempt to annex land in Gaza would be unacceptable,” said Hamish Falconer, UK Minister for the Middle East, addressing Parliament.
The reaction comes after the Zionist entity’s Security Cabinet approved a plan on Sunday to extend its military operations and potentially occupy additional parts of Gaza. This move has been widely interpreted as paving the way for a full-scale occupation of the territory. Falconer emphasized the UK’s stance in favor of ending the war, calling for an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, the provision of urgent humanitarian aid, and a political path forward. He also warned that further military expansion would increase civilian deaths and jeopardize the lives of hostages still held in the enclave.
Highlighting the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, Falconer stressed that nearly 2.4 million Palestinians remain entirely reliant on humanitarian aid, which continues to be blocked by Zionist authorities. He condemned the Zionist entity’s new plan to deliver aid through private security contractors, questioning its compliance with humanitarian principles. “These humanitarian principles matter for every conflict around the world. They should be applied consistently in every warzone,” he said.
The UK minister reiterated that humanitarian aid must never be politicized and that “Israel” is obligated under international law to allow unimpeded access to such aid. He condemned recent “Israeli” strikes on aid workers, infrastructure, and medical facilities, stressing the urgency of restoring aid flows. Since October 2023, more than 52,600 Palestinians—mostly women and children—have been killed in Gaza. The Zionist entity is currently facing international legal action, including ICC arrest warrants and a genocide case before the International Court of Justice.
