Two Officers Killed in Armed Attack by ISIS in Northern Iraq

Iraqi security officials announced today that two officers from the Iraqi army were killed and several soldiers injured during an attack by the terrorist organization ISIS in northern Iraq.
A security source revealed that ISIS militants targeted a military vehicle belonging to the Iraqi army on the outskirts of the Dibis district, located northwest of Kirkuk. This assault resulted in the deaths of two officers and injuries to other soldiers. The source further indicated that the troops responded to the attackers.
Additionally, an Iraqi army unit arrived at the scene to secure the area and transport the victims’ bodies along with the injured while initiating a comprehensive search operation for the assailants.
It is important to note that Iraqi forces across various formations continue their efforts to eliminate the remaining remnants of ISIS in several provinces, particularly in the northern and western regions.
