Turkey Orders 225 Boeing Aircraft in Landmark Fleet Deal

Turkish Airlines has announced a firm order for 225 Boeing jets, marking one of the largest purchases in its history.
The deal includes 75 Boeing 787 Dreamliners (50 firm orders, 25 options) with deliveries scheduled between 2029 and 2034, along with 150 Boeing 737-8/10 MAX aircraft (100 firm, 50 optional).
The airline said the narrow-body order will proceed once engine negotiations with CFM International are complete. Meanwhile, talks are underway with Rolls-Royce and GE Aerospace for engines, spare parts, and maintenance for the 787s.
Turkish Airlines added that the move is part of a plan to transition its entire fleet to next-generation aircraft by 2035, thereby improving efficiency and targeting an average annual growth rate of 6 %.
