Trump Touts US Successes at Davos, Criticizes Europe’s Energy Crisis

US President Donald Trump told attendees at the World Economic Forum in Davos that he arrived with “phenomenal news” about his achievements in the United States, warning that a struggling US economy could have global consequences. He criticized parts of Europe as “no longer recognizable” and insisted there was “no argument” about the continent’s economic and energy challenges.

Trump highlighted that his election victory prevented what he called the “Green New Scam,” which he claims would have severely damaged European economies. He pointed to data showing Germany produces 22% less power than in 2017, while the UK generates one-third less than in 1999, despite sitting on vast energy reserves.

“You’re supposed to make money with energy, not lose money,” Trump said, arguing that Europe’s energy mismanagement contrasts sharply with the US economic gains under his administration and emphasizing the global stakes of US economic stability.
