Trump Begins Second Term with Executive Orders Reshaping U.S. Policies

US President Donald Trump began his second term by issuing several significant executive orders, signaling shifts in domestic and international policy. Key decisions include the U.S. withdrawal from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Paris Climate Agreement.
Withdrawal from the World Health Organization
Trump officially signed an order to withdraw the U.S. from the WHO, citing concerns over the organization’s handling of global health issues and perceived political influences.
“The WHO has failed to act independently and has placed an unfair financial burden on the United States compared to other contributors,” Trump stated during the signing ceremony.
Exit from the Paris Climate Agreement
In another pivotal move, Trump signed an order to exit the Paris Climate Agreement, a landmark 2015 accord focused on combating climate change. The formal notification was sent to the United Nations, reaffirming Trump’s approach to prioritize U.S. interests in international agreements.
