Trump Asserts Confidence in Resolving Ukraine Conflict, Affirming “It Will Get Done”

President Trump expressed his continued belief that the conflict in Ukraine “will get done” during his speech at the APEC CEO Summit in South Korea. Despite facing challenges in resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Trump remains optimistic about finding a solution.
“The only one [conflict] I didn’t [solve] is Russia-Ukraine. But that will get done too. That will get done. I thought that was going to be an easy one because of my relationship with President Putin. It turned out to be a little different. But I think it will get done,” Trump stated.
His remarks come in the midst of ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has expressed hopes that Trump’s intentions in Ukraine are aimed at achieving sustainable peace rather than arming Ukraine with weapons.
Last week, Kirill Dmitriev, Russian special presidential envoy, acknowledged Trump’s efforts in the Ukraine settlement, emphasizing that progress is being made despite the challenges faced.
Trump’s reassurance regarding the Ukraine conflict reflects his commitment to finding a resolution and fostering peace in the region. It remains to be seen how his administration will continue to address the complex dynamics of the conflict moving forward.
