Triathlon : Algeria Hosts Africa Triathlon Cup in May

ALGIERS – Algeria will host the Open African Triathlon Cup Elite (men and women) at the tourist village CET in Tipaza (70-km west of Algiers) on May 10th, with the participation of 21 countries, including Algeria, the Algerian Triathlon Federation (FATri) said.
The delegations will arrive on May 6, 7 and 8, a technical meeting will be held on May 9 and the competition will open on May 10, with the participation of 21 countries,” the director of the organizing committee, Brahim Asloum, told APS.
The national technical staff has selected six Algerian athletes, four elite men and two elite women, to compete in the event.
A total of 85 athletes (58 elite men and 27 elite women) are announced for the competition, representing countries from different countries.
In addition to Algeria, (4 men / 2 women), the championship will feature athletes from Libya (2 men), Tunisia (5 men), Germany (5 men / 5 women), Australia (1 man), Austria (8 men / 2 women), Croatia (2 men), Belgium (2 men), The Czech Republic (2 men), Estonia (3 men / 2 women), France (3 men), Hungary (1 men), Italy (6 men / 3 women), Luxembourg (1 man), Netherlands (2 men), Poland (2 men), Russia (3 men / 1 woman), Serbia (1 woman), Suisse (2 men / 3 women), Singapore and Turkey (2 men).
“A total of 85 athletes have subscribed for the event so far,” the federation’s secretary general, Karim Tamimount, said, adding that “the subscription platform is still open” for other countries.
