Three Dead in Fire at Frankfurt/Oder Apartment Building

Three people were killed in a fire at an apartment building in the city of Frankfurt/Oder, according to authorities on Wednesday.
The fire broke out on Tuesday night, and firefighters used jump cushions and aerial ladders to rescue residents. Emergency responders successfully evacuated 13 people, including several children, from the building. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, three people could not be saved. The identities of the deceased have not yet been released.
Police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Local media reports indicate that authorities have not yet confirmed whether a technical defect or negligence led to the tragedy.
