The Zionist Occupation’s Brutality Against Palestinian Children in Detention

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club has reported shocking details from numerous testimonies of Palestinian children detained in Zionist occupation prisons, revealing the extreme brutality and systematic torture they endure. The club emphasized the grave escalation of violence against these children, especially since the beginning of the Zionist occupation’s offensive on Gaza.
The statement highlights that the issue of child prisoners has dramatically worsened, with a sharp rise in arrests and egregious violations carried out by the Zionist occupation. At least 795 cases of child arrests in the West Bank have been recorded since October 7, 2023. However, the exact number of children detained from Gaza remains unknown due to the ongoing crime of forced disappearances.
Testimonies gathered from the children by legal teams have shed light on the severe brutality inflicted by the Zionist occupation, showing the physical and psychological abuse these minors endure. Many of these children are being held in prisons like Ofer, Megiddo, Damon, and military camps, where they face unimaginable hardships.
The Zionist occupation continues to conduct near-daily arrests of children across the occupied Palestinian territories, accusing them of various charges. Since the beginning of the assault on Gaza in late October 2023, the Zionist occupation has detained thousands of Palestinians, including women, children, medical teams, and civil defense workers. Although a few have been released, the fate of many remains unknown.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club further reported that over 12,100 individuals from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, have been arrested since the start of the ongoing war, with numbers from Gaza estimated to be in the thousands.
In addition to the assault on Gaza, the Zionist occupation and settlers have extended their attacks in the West Bank, targeting Palestinian civilians, their property, and sources of livelihood, including in East Jerusalem. This has led to 811 Palestinian deaths and around 6,450 injuries.
The ongoing Zionist aggression in Gaza has resulted in over 151,000 casualties, with more than 11,000 Palestinians still missing. The war has also left behind widespread destruction and famine, leading to the deaths of many children and elderly individuals, marking one of the most devastating humanitarian crises in the world.
