The Algerian President Declares his Running for a Second Term
The President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has announced his intention to run for a second presidential term.
After his first election in December 2019, the Algerian president has announced, on Thursday, his endeavour to run for another presidential term, following “the request of several political and non-political parties, civil society organizations and youth.”
The other candidates and parties joining the elections scheduled for September 7, are Youcef Aouchiche from the FFS (Front des Forces Socialistes), Abdel-Ali Hassani Cherif from the Movement of Society for Peace party , Louisa Hanoune from the Workers party and others.
