
El TARF — The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, inaugurated the “Koudiet Eddraouche” seawater desalination plant on Wednesday as part of his working visit to El Tarf province.
The inauguration ceremony of this strategic project was attended by the Deputy Minister to the Algerian Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Saïd Chanegriha, the Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mining and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, the Algerian Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Territorial Planning, Brahim Merad, and the Algerian Minister of Water Resources, Taha Derbal, as well as officials from the national companies responsible for its construction.
Tebboune had made Saturday a working visit to the province of Tipasa, where he inaugurated the seawater desalination plant of Fouka 2.
The Algerian president also paid a visit, last Thursday, to the province of Oran to inaugurate Algeria’s largest seawater desalination plant, in Cape Blanc, Ain El Karma.
