ALGIERS, Oct. 9, 2025 – Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Thursday congratulated the national football team for qualifying for the 2026 World Cup after defeating Somalia 3-0 at Miloud-Hadefi Stadium in Oran.
“We are very happy and proud of your qualification for the World Cup. You have given all Algerians, at home and abroad, the taste of great joy. A thousand thanks to the Greens. May God perpetuate these moments of happiness for Algeria, the well-guarded,” the president wrote on his official social media page.
