ALGIERS — The Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, said Sunday in Algiers that the new economic model adopted by Algeria “is starting to bear fruit,” as shown in positive reports from the World Bank, International Monetary Fund and other international institutions.
In his address to the Nation before both houses of Parliament at the Palace of Nations (Club des Pins), President Tebboune said that “the new economic model is starting to bear fruit according to positive statistics from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and other international institutions.”
He further underscored that “economic development is achieved through a new development model based on economic diversification and the liberation of initiative.”
He went on to explain that Algeria’s positive economic results “rely on small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups.”
