Talks between Algerian FM and Lebanese Speaker of Parliament

BEIRUT—Algerian Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, was received on Sunday in Beirut by Lebanese Speaker of the Parliament, Nabih Berri, as part of his visit as a special envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Attaf congratulated Nabih Berri on the formation of the new Lebanese government, reiterating Algeria’s steadfast support for Lebanon as it embarks on a new phase focused on strengthening stability, achieving peace, and promoting economic development, the statement said.

The two sides also reviewed the various dimensions of bilateral relations and discussed ways to activate the mechanisms provided by parliamentary diplomacy to support efforts aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the two nations.
