Syria: Homs-Damascus highway temporarily cut off after Zionist strike

DAMASCUS – Syria’s main Homs-Damascus highway was temporarily cut off following a Zionist airstrike on an aid gathering centre for displaced Lebanese south of the city of Homs, the Syrian state news agency SANA reported on Monday.

The agency initially reported a Zionist attack on the Chenchar area in the southern countryside of Homs in central Syria.

On Sunday, at least three people were martyred in another airstrike on a building south of the capital, Damascus.

The Zionist warplanes have been conducting a series of attacks on Syrian territory for years, but the aggression has intensified since the start of the genocidal war in Gaza 13 months ago.
