Switzerland: Casualties Reported After Explosion at Crans-Montana Ski Resort

Swiss police announced that several people were killed and injured following an explosion on Thursday at a ski resort in the city of Crans-Montana during New Year celebrations.
According to Swiss Radio and Television, the explosion occurred in a basement area of the resort that can accommodate up to 400 people. The blast triggered a massive fire, resulting in casualties.
The same source reported that emergency services were deployed to the scene, with helicopters and a large number of ambulances mobilized to evacuate the victims and provide urgent assistance.
