At least 21 people were killed after a boat sank on the Nile River in northern Sudan on Wednesday evening, local authorities said on Thursday.
Authorities in Nile state said 21 bodies had been recovered but did not specify the cause of the accident.
Witnesses cited by media said the boat was carrying 30 passengers crossing the river north of the capital, Khartoum.
