Sudan: 15 Killed in Bus Bombing Near Khartoum

At least 15 people were killed on Tuesday in Omdurman, a suburb of Khartoum, when a bus was bombed, reportedly by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), according to a medical source.

Al-Nao Hospital, one of the few medical facilities still operating in the area, received 45 injured individuals from various parts of Omdurman, as reported by media sources.

The conflict between the regular army and the Rapid Support Forces has been ongoing for nearly two years in Sudan, resulting in thousands of deaths and displacing more than eleven million people, contributing to one of the most severe humanitarian crises in recent history, according to the UN.

In recent months, the Sudanese army has made advances towards Khartoum from the neighboring city of Omdurman in an effort to regain control of the capital.
