Spain Moves to Terminate Ammunition Contract with Zionist Firm

The Spanish government has initiated the process of terminating a contract for the purchase of ammunition from a Zionist company for the kingdom’s Civil Guard, according to the Spanish Interior Ministry. The ministry stated that it began this process to cancel a contract involving the procurement of 9×19 mm PB NATO cartridges, which was originally put out to tender on February 21, 2024.

The decision to terminate the contract was made on October 21, 2024, and it was noted that two of the three contracted lots had been awarded to the Zionist company. Furthermore, the statement indicated that other Zionist companies would also be barred from participating in future bids for additional weapons purchases currently under review by the Civil Guard’s Directorate General.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, on October 14, urged the European Commission to address the official request from Madrid and Dublin to suspend the free trade agreement with the Zionist entity due to its actions in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. He called on the international community to halt arms exports to the Zionist entity immediately, citing the escalating violence in the Middle East as a pressing concern.
